2018 Speed Mentoring

I am so excited to announce the 2018 Speed Mentoring event will be on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event is a great networking opportunity for all of our EMU PRSSA members. The event will offer a variety of topics within the PR field. Mentors range from political PR to healthcare, museum, agency and more! Be sure to bring your resumé and business cards with you to the event. Members with have 5 minutes to spend with each mentor to ask whatever they would like to know. Agency Tour Announcement

PRSSA will be touring Identity PR in Bingham Farms this Friday, March 2. The link to register can be found here; if you are interested in carpooling, we will be meeting at Starbucks in the Student Center at 8:15 A.M. Scholarship Opportunity!

The Public Relations Society of America Detroit Chapter is accepting applications for the Donald P. Durocher Memorial Scholarship. Two awards of $2,000 will be given to students studying PR, communication, journalism, or a related field. More information about the scholarship can be found here. The deadline to apply is March 31st.

2018 Digital Summer Clinic Internship Information Session

Are you looking to advance your career in public relations? Looking to work for high-tech company over the summer? Look no further! The 2018 Digital Summer Clinic Internship Information Session is on Tuesday, March 6 at 4 pm in the College of Business. Learn about working for local startups in the Ann Arbor SPARK startup incubator. Internships are a minimum of 10 hours a week (with room more expansion) with pay at $15 an hour. 24 positions are available and the internship runs from mid June to August. Doesn’t being literate mean you’re media literate? Well, the answer is no… Being media literate is so much more than reading and comprehending content.
